I have never homeschooled high school before! What are my options?
1. Become a member of a homeschool group like Firm Foundation Christian Academy. Membership with FFCA involves the following benefits:
- Advising on high school class schedules and requirements
- Transcripts
- Course record-keeping
- Assistance with college planning
- Numerous high school classes in-person and online
- Graduation ceremony and diploma
2. File your own affidavit with the state of California and keep track of your own paperwork. Then search local homeschool groups including Firm Foundation Christian Academy and take classes at different locations and/or continue home-based coursework.
3. Consider Dual Enrollment in which your child takes classes at a junior college and earns both high school and college credit.
4. Join a local charter school, which will provide a teacher to guide you with state-provided educational funds, record keeping, outside classes and curriculum.
